Galena Country Fair is a collaborative effort. Every year businesses, organizations and individuals come together to plan and execute one of Jo Daviess County's largest and most successful events.

#1 Volunteer
Hundreds of volunteers are needed to help with many aspects of the event. Volunteers are an integral part of the event and help with food and beverage booths, gates, games, the raffle, silent auction and more. There are opportunities to help the two days of the fair and also in advance of the event with planning and set-up. Whether you just want to give of your time towards the event or earn a donation via the Fundraising Program, please consider joining us. Call 815-777-0817 for more information about volunteering.
#2 Donate a Raffle Prize
100% of the proceeds from the fair's annual raffle go towards our mission to support charitable causes in Jo Daviess County. Raffle prizes and cash donations are greatly appreciated. We accept gift certificates to local hotels, restaurants, retailers and attractions; themed gift baskets; sports items and tickets; gift items; home decor; high-quality, handmade items; and cash donations towards the $1,000 cash prize. #3 Join Our Committee
Want to be part of the team that helps make Galena Country Fair happen? The Galena Country Fair Board is looking for a Brat Tent Chair for 2027 and beyond!
The Brat Tent is one of the busiest, most fun spots at the Fair, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and jumping in to keep things running smoothly. This volunteer committee role helps coordinate the Brat Tent from planning and ordering supplies to organizing volunteers, helping with setup, and overseeing operations throughout Fair weekend.
You don’t have to do it alone — you’ll be working alongside a great group of volunteers and Fair Committee members who all pitch in to make the weekend a success. If you’re dependable, enjoy leading a team, and would love to get more involved with one of Galena’s favorite community traditions, we’d love to hear from you!
